First Timer

Ah! I am so excited right now! I finished my very first piece of furniture! I went "junkin" and found a great wood vanity stool! I knew I wanted to do something really fun with it, so I picked up a bold pattern with bold colors! Then did a neutral color on bottom! Here are the before and afters! Hope you enjoy!! Now I can't wait to find another piece of furniture to get my hands on!! : )

Stealing from the poor!

Hello! So my mother had a box of things she was going to give to Golden Spread Charity, and I noticed there was an old 4th of july serving tray in the box! Of course a light bulb came on and screamed "REDO THE TRAY KACI"!!! So I asked my mother if I could have it and she agreed! I am upset with myself that I did not take a before picture...but I'll describe it! The edges were navy blue with white stars, and on the serving part it was an American flag. Cute but not my kinda cute!! Soo I got create with it and this is how it turned out!!

I think it turned out pretty cute!  : ) It now needs a good home!

Been getting crafty!

Today as I was organizing my craft "stuff" into clear "tupperware" style drawers I couldn't help but think how boring the drawers were! As goofey as this may sound, If I were a paint brush I wouldn't want to live in a ugly clear plastic drawer! SOO...I decided to give my "stuff" a beautiful home! : ) I decoupaged the drawers and made it from Drab to Fab! Ha! : )

Today I was at the Vendor's Fleamarket looking for some treasures and I ran across a really cool piece of furniture! I am going to "Get 2 Craftin" and turn it into something really cool! I will post some pictures when I get finished! Until then...

Today's new craftin adventure! : )

Well, I took an idea suggested by my cousin, and I am quite pleased with the outcome! I made some really cute coasters! I am all about having common everyday things and giving them a personality of their own (which in turn incorporates my personality). It was super easy and fun! The coasters would make great Christmas stocking stuffers! I think I will make several to give to some of my gal pals! : ) This was my very first experience with Mod Podge! It will take some getting used to, but I am really wanting to try something bigger and better at some point! Any ideas?  I think I will eventually try to mod podge a piece of furniture! We shall see! : ) Oh btw I have figured out I am really in need of a craft room!!!!

FuNkY Punkin Patch

My first adventure in crafting began when I got the idea to decorate pumpkins! I saw some pumpkins others have done, and I knew I wanted to try it out but with my own unique flare! Although the thought of pouring a lot of mine time into something then it being thrown away made me cringe! So I decided to decorate FAKE pumpkins!  I made 2 for myself and took them to work and the girls at work loved them, and well basically they took off!  I started my own little pumpkin decorating business called "FuNkY Punkin Patch". I began taking custom orders! It gave me something to fun and creative to do with my spare time! I ended up making 61 pumpkins this season! : ) I plan on doing them again next year! I plan on having a booth at "Christmas in October" and I have a sweet friend named Shaynah who owns a salon called "Shaynah Scissorhands", she has told me that I could sell my crafts in her shop! (Her shop is sooo adorable! I love it)! Here are some of the FuNkY Punkins I did!....

Of course this isn't anywhere close to all of them! But it gives you an idea of the fun I can have with a pumpkin! I love how every ones pumpkins show off their personality! : )

Just have to Get 2 Craftin

Well, here I am starting a blog! I have no clue what I am doing, but I am going to delve in and get 2 craftin! I have never considered myself to be a crafty person to say the least! But it has been brought to my attention that despite my own oppinion I may have a crafty bone or 2 in my body! So now I am off on a mission to try new and different crafts, and I want to bring you along! Please sit back and hold on tight while I learn about this new world of blogging! : )
